text, photographs, sketches etc are of professional quality we will
showcase them. Full credit will be provide and a same page link to your
web site can be arranged. Please check back regularly as these shipwreck
pages are being updated weekly. Please be advised that current laws
regarding artifact recovery are constantly changing. In the past it
was the sport diver through the recovery of artifacts that lead to
the positive identification of the majority shipwrecks along our
coasts. The research was done with absolutely no tax payer expense.
Now some marine archeologist have made it illegal for sport divers
to recover such items from many of these shipwrecks. Please note
that many of the images on these pages were taken prior to current
law changes. Capt. Berg and the Shipwreck Expo encourages saving our
precious maritime history by the legal recovery of artifacts from
the hostile salt water environment whenever possible. At the same
time recreational divers should respect all current shipwreck laws.
