TARPOON Miami

As a memorial tribute to Mike Kevorkian, owner of the Tarpoon Skin Diving Center, this 150 foot steel hulled Haitian grain freighter, originally named Medor Herode, was sunk on May 10, 1988, in 71 feet of water after being renamed Tarpoon. She was sunk after the U.S. Coast Guard deemed the vessel un seaworthy and has remained sitting upright and intact.
