MILLER LITE Pompano

The German refrigerator cargo vessel Miller Lite was built in 1957. Her original name was Mini Horn. Later she was renamed Shirley B and then Principe Maya. She was 186 feet long, had a 29 foot beam and an eleven foot draft. After being renamed after the company that sponsored her sinking, she was sunk as an artificial reef on May 17, 1987. According to diver Ed Murphy, the Miller Light sits upright in 165 feet of water outside Hills Boro Inlet, in the Rodeo Reef Site. The interesting thing about the wreck is that it still has a life boat mounted on its davits.
