LAKELAND Miami

The 200 foot long steel hulled twin screwed Panamanian freighter Lakeland was sunk as an artificial reef site off the coast of Key Biscayne on June 16, 1982. The big ship sank stern first in 143 feet of water, where she now rests on her side. This ship holds a huge assortment of marine life and is not only exciting to explore but has become a good wreck for photography and spearfishing.
