BUDWEISER BAR
WRECK Delray Beach
This 167 foot long coastal freighter was built in 1965 and used to
transport dry goods to the Bahamas and Haiti. She was sunk as an
artificial reef in July of 1987. Her original name was Olive M, but
she was renamed, prior to her sinking, after the company that
donated one third of the money needed to create the reef. She now
lies upright in 95 feet of water with her stern pointing north. The
propeller, funnels and davits on this wreck were left intact, and
located on the deck, there is a large open section where divers can
easily enter the wreck.
