BLUE FIRE Miami
The wreck Blue Fire was a 175 foot passenger freighter sunk in
January of 1983 in the Miami area. This vessel was seized by the
Coast Guard during the Cuban Exodus. The Blue Fire now sits fully
intact and upright in 115 to 120 feet of water on a white sandy
bottom with deck winches and radar masts remaining intact.
The Blue Fire is said to be an
underwater photographer's dream. She
is an easy and safe wreck to penetrate and abounds with sea life
which reportedly includes cobia, grouper, amberjack, barracuda and
parrotfish.
