ARAKANAPKA Biscayne Park
The steel hulled steamer Arakanapka ran aground in 1876. According
to diver Terry Helmers, she now sits in 12 to 25 feet of water near
Fowey Rocks. The wreck is scattered and is excellent for snorkeling
or scuba diving. She is within Biscayne's National Park, so divers
should not remove artifacts, coral or tropical fish from the site.
