WINDLASS WRECK Pennekamp
Park
This unidentified schooner referred to as the Windlass Wreck sits in
28 feet of water only 30 yards east of Molasses tower. According to
Geo Toth, some anchor chain and the wreck's windlass as well as some
scattered wreckage are spread over a sand and coral sea bed. This
heavily encrusted wreckage may never be positively identified. Geo
also tells us that about 200 yards away sits a large Spanish anchor.
