AVENGER

The English brigantine, Avenger, was bound from Nova Scotia to the West Indies when she became wrecked on the island of Bermuda in February of 1894. According to Teddy Tucker, a local treasure hunter, this ship was sailing under the command of Captain F. C. Hicks and was carrying a cargo of salt, fish and saw boards, when she smashed into Mills Breakers.

Today, there are a total of at least three wrecks resting on Mills Breakers which include the Colonel William Ball, Beaumaris Castle and Avenger.
